Ars Inquirendi 2026: Querying Pre-Print Cultures with LLMs brings together over thirty scholars and scientists, from around the world, to showcase and catalyse the fantastically exciting progress, and attendant challenges, in using LLMs to uncover new knowledge about the world before print. Panels run from history at machine scale, through scholarly editions and sovereign models for the pre-print world, to the ethics of it all. A series of workshops teaches a range of vital skills accessible to all, up to building your own LLM. All talks except the live keynotes and workshops are pre-recorded and released a week ahead, leaving the live days for discussion.
